Welcome to the Prescott-Russell Community Development Corporation's new website.
For close to 25 years now, the Prescott-Russell Community Development Corporation continues to pursue its regional economic development mandate through technical support and funding to businesses and its involvement in daily initiatives that have an impact on economic development and socio-economic development of our communities.
With a strong team of professionals and supported by an 8 member volunteer board of directors from the region and its numerous partners, the Prescott-Russell Community Development Corporation wants to expand its horizon and to get even more entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations to profit from the multiple programs and services developed over the years.
The Prescott-Russell Community Development Corporation is part of 61 Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs) in Ontario. The Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) works with the 37 CFDCs in rural Eastern and Southern Ontario, while FedNor works with the 24 organizations in the North.CFDCs offer a wide variety of programs and services supporting community economic development and small business growth.
In fact, in Canada we count 269 Community Futures Development Corporations and Community Business Development Corporations (CFDCs/CBDCs) governed by 5500 volunteers and 1600 professionals that participate in rural and semi-rural communities across Canada.
