Jury's favorite.  This is awarded at the sole discretion of the jury from businesses that have been nominated in one of the previous categories.
                                             

This award, determined by the jury, recognizes entrepreneurship through perseverance, excellence in work, commitment, creative and visionary.  All business are eligible regardless of the sector of activity.

Must be owner, partner or majority shareholder (holds 51% or more of the shares)
                                                           

This award, determined by the organization committee, recognizes a business with outstanding dynamism.  Increase in sales and investments, innovative spirit, new market acquisitions, job creation and the general impact on community development are all aspects that we find in this business.  The winning business of this category will be chosen among the recipients of the previous categories that deserves the excellence title for its entire work.
                                                            

This award, determined by the organization committee, highlights an entrepreneur's career in the county of Prescott who, through their contribution and passion, has made their mark in the business world of the region.
                                                            

This award, determined by the organization committee, recognizes a young entrepreneur, between the ages of 18 and 34, whose business and personal achievements have contributed to the welfare of the Prescott and Russell residents as well as the community economic development in their community.

Eligibility criteria:
  • be a resident and have operated a permanent business in Prescott-Russell for at least two (2) years;
  • have completed at least two (2) fiscal years;
  • be the owner, partner or majority shareholder (51% or more of shares);
  • have shown perseverance, excellence and commitment to his/her business; 
  • have demonstrated continued growth since the opening of his/her business;
  • be actively involved in his/her community.
                                                               

This award, determined by the jury, recognizes the performance of businesses manufacturing products in the following aspects
  1. Contribution to the economic development of the region
  2. Job creation
  3. Local or regional suppliers
  4. Annual growth
  5. Development of programs for employees
  6. Succession preparation
  7. Association member
  8. Partnership creation 
                                                         

This award, determined by the jury, recognizes the importance of retail businesses in our economy.  It is granted to businesses that have distinguished themselves by the:
  • quality of their products;
  • variety of their products;
  • after-sales services;
  • customer service;
  • good management;
  • business growth;
  • identification of needs;
  • innovative products;
  • job creation;
  • guarantees offered;
  • annual growth;
  • member of an association;
  • partnership creation.
                                                               

This award, determined by the jury, recognizes businesses that operate under a single name regardless of the number of franchises and follow a business code of ethics.

Guidelines:
  1. ​Obligation of signing a franchise agreement.
  2. Donations to charities or community organizations (matching 50/50).
                                                         

This award, determined by the jury, recognizes the businesses that lead the market by:
  • ​the quality of their service;
  • the after-sales services;
  • the customer service;
  • the good management;
  • the growth;
  • the identification of needs;
  • the innovative service;
  • the range of service;
  • the job creation;
  • the guarantee offered;
  • the annual growth;
  • the member association;
  • the creation of partnerships.
                                                         

This award, determined by the jury, recognized businesses in the accommodation, restaurant, agri-tourism and/or in a tourist attraction context sector that also take part in tourism development either by offering regional products and/or by developing activities or events while offering excellent customer service.
                                                          

This award, determined by the jury, recognizes the entrepreneurship of those who recently started a new business in any sector of activity.  To be eligible, the business must have at least one full year of operation but less than three (3) years of operation as of December 31. 2021.
                                                               

This award, determined by the jury, recognizes the young entrepreneurs by honoring a business controlled at 51% or more, by one or more owners between 18 and 35 years of age as of December 31, 2021, regardless of the sector of activity.
                                                                 

This award, determined by the jury, recognizes and encourages the implication of business owners and/or their employees who represent the business in:
  • volunteering their time to organizations, communities or other associations;
  • participating in organization activities or events;
  • helping people in need;
  • being a member of associations and participating in their activities;
  • being a member of a board of directors;
  • being a financial partner.
                                                              

This award, determined by the jury, recognizes businesses with a sole proprietor that operates full-time with no employees, regardless of the sector of activity.
                                                             

This award, determined by the jury, recognizes businesses that work in the production (fruits, vegetables, cereals, meats, etc.), the breeding/reproduction/transformation (meats, dairy products, etc.), the harvest of agricultural and food products and the productions of foods.
                                                             

This award, determined by the jury, recognizes inclusive businesses as a privately owned business which deliberately hire at least one person who would otherwise be at a very high risk of chronic unemployment and exclusion.  The inclusive business offers employment opportunities to a marginalized person and strives to provide special support to its employee in order to meet his or her needs.
                                                                  

This award, determined by the jury, recognizes the achievements of an accomplished business woman.  It is through her initiative, operating strategy, growth and sound business management that she succeeds in developing and expanding a diversified and inclusive economy.

Eligibility criteria:
  • must be an owner, partner or majority shareholder (51% or more of the shares), regardless of the sectors of activity;
  • the business must have been in operation for one full year;
  • the business must be established in Prescott-Russell;
  • business woman who demonstrates and possesses energy and leadership that others aspire to.
